Applecross’ Eyre Place development, located in the heart of Edinburgh’s New Town, has been announced as a finalist in the Homes for Scotland Quality Awards.
The annual awards, which are now in their eight year, saw record entries levels from homebuilders across Scotland.
Applecross is one of five homebuilders to be short listed in the ‘Urban Small’ category by the independent judging panel chaired by Scotland’s Chief Planner, Jim Mackinnon.
Located on the corner of Eyre Place and Dundas Street, Eyre Place is a flagship development which is now sold out. It comprises 24 exclusive properties including four penthouses and two duplex penthouses. Though unashamedly modern the design has paid homage to the traditional architecture and streetscape of the New Town. Its light and airy contemporary interiors have complimented the natural characteristics of the site maximising views of the New Town and Edinburgh Castle.
A high specification throughout combined with the excellent location ensured that the apartments have all been snapped up by city downsizers and international business travellers looking for a European base.
The winners of this year’s awards will be announced on 9 May 2008 by Sally Magnusson in front of an audience of 750 industry members and the Minister for Communities, Stewart Maxwell at the EICC, Edinburgh
