A detailed planning application has been submitted for the BBC site at Queen Margaret Drive (QMD) in Glasgow, which will be a joint venture between Applecross, Esk and Blackrock International Land plc. The submission is for 189 units; 186 apartments and 3 townhouses. The proposal also includes the restoring to public access of some of the most extraordinary architectural gems including the Anatomy Building of the Queen Margaret College, designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh.

The QMD team comprises some of our valued partners:
- CDA, our Lead Consultants, are responsible for the design and delivery of the development.
- Blyth and Blyth will provide both Civil & Structural and Mechanical & Electrical Engineers for the project.
- EC Harris will be our Quantity Surveyors on QMD.
- Expanded Ltd (part of the LOR group) are the Principal Contractor for the complete construction works of the Shell and Core of QMD.
- The CDM Coordinator is Kirk Marsh
- And last, but certainly not least, Vico Software, introduced the 5D software to the project and are assisting CDA in taking control of the model.
And, as we build in Glasgow for the first time, we are endeavouring to use, as far as possible, a Glasgow based supply chain.
Applecross ensures a standard of 'very good' in the Ecohomes Assessment but are working towards attaining an 'Excellent' grading.
